Last piece for this evening, this is the opening to a story I just started... It doesn't yet have a name, though I think "The Corinthea" might fit with what I've got in mind. Here it is.
Tossed upon the roiling ocean, the “Corinthea” and her crew battled to stay afloat, to keep their bounty safe from the storm and the waves threatening to overthrow them. There was another week’s sailing to do before they could land again. With barely any provisions remaining on the ship and nothing to repair any damage with, the crew were barely hanging on to the ropes as they hoisted the sails to keep them further from harm’s way. As wave after powerful wave pounded the ship and gale force winds whipped around the deck, yanking at the rigging, the “Corinthea” groaned under the extra strain. She pitched and dived relentlessly, throwing the Captain to the railings and at least one deckhand overboard. Crying out against the buffeting and the pounding rain, the Captain tried calling orders, tried to get his crew to safety.
